EVENTS

The events we organize at the International Youth Center – Pernik have a diverse focus. Celebration of holidays, concerts, cooperating events with other organizations, conferences, youth academies and many others.

For example, our first event is organized on the occasion of International Roma Day – April 8. We held a football match and a quiz for the young people of Pernik, as well as started the traveling photo exhibition of the best works from the photography contest “Variety of Roma Life”.

On the occasion of the International Dance Day, Pernik hosted the National Dance Festival “Morning Star”. International Youth Center – Pernik got involved with organized activities – Art plein air “Pernik dances” /together with the Community center “Aurora-2013″/, games for concentration and endurance, Graffiti workshop and Street dance session.

On May 24 – Day of the holy brothers Cyril and Methodius, of the Bulgarian alphabet, education and culture and of Slavic literature, we organized a Living Library – a library where readers do not “borrow” a paper book, but a real person. The young people of Pernik had the opportunity to meet many interesting personalities and “steal” some time with them, ask questions and learn about their history.

After that, together with young people from the city, we renovated some benches in the park, and in addition to cleaning and painting them, we inscribed them with quotes from Bulgarian authors.

We also organized our first conference – “Under the many masks of youth work”, where our guests were colleagues from the National Network of Youth Centers – Plovdiv, Stara Zagora, Dobrich, Vratsa, Montana, Gabrovo and Burgas, as well as the Management Team of Project “Establishment of International Youth center Pernik – a model for high standards of youth work”, BFP Contract No. BGLD-2.001-0001 of 20.10.2020 and the Program Operator of the “Local Development, Poverty Reduction and Improved Inclusion of Vulnerable Groups” program, financed through the FM of the EEA 2014-2021! Within the conference, each center had to prepare and present its view on the “masks” we put on daily to carry out all our activities in the best possible way.
